“I pursued deejaying at the age of 14 when a friend of mine left me deejaying while he went home to change.”

This brief exposure would spark in him a love of creating moods through music that he continued to do for the next twenty-two years. During this time, he honed his craft and put out timely mixes including his latest mix for Trinidad Carnival, “Bachanal 2020.” As he evolved, so did music. Artistes released more music and used emerging technology to share music internationally. As music became available, he was able to experiment with different genres. Although he started out mixing dancehall, he has developed a love for soca that is evident in his mixes. However, as music is now readily accessible, there is a lot of competition in the deejay sphere.

Undeterred by younger deejays, DJ Kutz1 relies on his experience and his continuous effort to cultivate his craft. That’s what makes him the right person to partner with DysChick to bring you the Guyana Mash Mix. Get ready to celebrate Guyana’s Republic Golden Jubilee with iconic tunes from GT artistes.

This mix kicks off with Guyana’s national anthem and includes folk songs like “Lily Gal” and ”Small Days.” Rock out to favorites like “I Am A Guyanese,” by Adrian Dutchin, “Blow” by Blaze Anthonio, and “Ring Ding Wine” by Guyana’s current Soca Monarch Jumo Primo.
