Rant and Rave S7 E4: Are we over "soca to the world?"

Are we over "soca to the world?" In this episode, we RANT about the overused term "soca to the world!" We've heard it many times and artistes pledging to take soca music to the Grammy's, to Coachella, and elsewhere. Is this realistic given the amount of music in the genre? Do we even want to go global or should we gatekeep the genre until we have a clearer definition of what makes a song a "soca" song and encourage more year-round releases to build up the catalog?
